Your route and fieldbook.
Landmark choices, route order, drawing-time settings, the fieldbook title and notes are processed in your browser. They are not sent to a server, shared publicly or saved to an account. Leaving or refreshing the page clears the working route.
A downloaded fieldbook or message draft is a file on your device. You control where it is kept and who can read it. Avoid adding sensitive information to notes intended for a shared device.
Optional device preferences.
No advertising pixels or analytics trackers run on this site. If you choose to remember preferences, localStorage saves your acknowledgement and decorative-motion setting for this browser. These entries do not store your route or contact messages.
Open “Storage choices” in the footer, untick “Remember these preferences” and apply the change to remove those saved entries. Your browser’s site-data controls can also remove them. You can use the fieldbook without optional storage.
The contact form.
If you submit a message, the form sends the name, email address, topic and message you provide, together with your consent and a necessary security token, to this site’s own contact endpoint. A necessary HttpOnly, SameSite security cookie helps prevent unauthorised submissions; it uses Secure protection when served over HTTPS.
Successfully received messages are stored in this site’s local inbox. The handler does not forward them to a mailing service or add you to a marketing list. Limited technical metadata may be used for request validation and rate limiting. A successful receipt means storage succeeded; it does not promise a response time.
Failures, access and retention.
If the contact inbox is unavailable, the page says the message was not received and retains your draft. A local draft download is never described as delivery. General server request logs may be maintained by the hosting service for operation and security.
Messages should be retained only for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any applicable obligations. A fixed retention period is not promised here. You can use the contact form for a privacy question or request relating to information you previously submitted; include a receipt reference if available, not sensitive identity documents.
Links and changes.
Local illustrations, scripts and styles are served with the site. If you follow a link to another service, its own privacy practices apply. This notice describes the current fieldbook and its functions; review it again if those functions change.
