ABOUT THE FIELDBOOK

For the pleasantly
improbable.

Lusaventor is an illustrated fictional atlas: a place to enjoy painted confectionery landscapes and choose a small creative journey through them.

A coast made from familiar things.

A peppermint stripe becomes a cliff. A biscuit becomes a crossing. A wrapped sweet becomes a parcel on a moonlit quay. The fieldbook begins with recognisable confectionery and asks what kind of landscape those forms might make.

Six independent scenes give the coast different scales, viewpoints and times of day. Some are open and bright; others are sheltered or lit by lanterns. The connection is a shared painted world, rather than one repeated view with different colours.

A moonlit watercolour quay built from wrapped confectionery parcels glows with raspberry and lemon-drop lanterns beside a wafer boat and an open box of bonbons.
Lantern Quay turns familiar parcels and bonbons into a small evening landscape.

A map for looking.

The schematic atlas is a way to choose an order, not an attempt to describe real geography. Its routes connect pictures and drawing prompts. The time setting is a practical suggestion for a creative session, and the downloaded fieldbook is yours to keep on your device.

A fieldbook with open edges.

There is no account, score or correct route. You can spend time with one illustration, follow all six field notes or use a prompt as the beginning of your own idea. Nothing here offers a physical destination, a product for sale or a prize.
